ULS Family Law has an outstanding local reputation for legal services in Divorce and Family Law. The team is led by Principle Lawyer Lindsay Jones whose depth of knowledge has been accrued from her background in both city centre practices in Manchester and local firms in Cheshire. Areas of family law we offer are Prenuptial Agreements, Cohabitation Rights, Mediation, Counselling Services, Financial Settlement & Asset Splits.
There is no correct time to seek advice from a family lawyer. Some people seek information just at the point of separation, some seek advice whilst still in the marriage, some only approach once living apart from their ex-partner is well established. An initial consultation can be helpful in telling you what your priorities should be and addressing some of your anxieties.
If you are worried about the cost of divorce, we offer:
Case Review Service (if you are unhappy with the advice you have received elsewhere) – £250+vat
Shadowing Capacity – help in drafting court applications & preparation in court hearings
We also offer:
Private and discreet meeting rooms
Out of Hours meetings
At ULS, we believe that family law requires a different approach to many other areas of the law and we appreciate that it takes courage to finalise the breakdown of a relationship.
With this in mind, our Resolution-trained team are advocates of mediation and negotiation and will guide away from aggressive and protracted court processes, whenever possible. However, if a more robust approach or urgent court action is required we will follow that lead to its conclusion to get the best outcome for our clients.
Please note that in spite of the cut in legal aid public funding, ULL Solicitors still offers a shadowing capacity service whereby we can continue to assist litigants in preparing for Court hearings and draft the appropriate court applications.
Ten years qualified and lecturer at the Liverpool Law Academy, Lindsay Jones obtained her degree at Manchester University in 1999 and qualified from Chester College of Law in 2001. Her robust approach in the courts is finely balanced with her expertise in mediation.
